I've just watched the Sheffield Eagles Rugby League club win the League 2 Grand Final and heard a reference by one of the commentators that their owner also owns a Pest Control company!

I didn't catch the name, but would be interested to find out. Does anyone know?

Whoever it is - congratulations!

Pest control has some illustrious rugby league connections. Jack Kent, who recently stepped down from running Conquer Pest Control on a full time basis, used to play for Bradford Northern (in the '60s?).

More recently the current Operations Director of Pestokill, Cliff Eccles, was a Superleague player for Salford City Reds and Widnes Vikings just a few years ago. I once asked him, whilst he was in peak playing strength to try and break into our recently launched Roguard Mouse Box with his bare hands - he couldn't!

As I watch Hull Kingston Rovers hammer Widnes in the League 1 Grand Final, I know that a certain Adrian Batty of AB Pest Control will be looking forward to travelling over to Warrington next year!

I've already got your ticket Adrian!
