I enjoyed the short time I had at Pest tech yesterday. Sorry to anyone I promised a cup of tea: you know how it is - the phone rings, and its time to go.

I was impressed by some of the new products I saw, especially the CO2 blaster at the Paragon stand, and the aerosol gizmo that Sorex are bringing out. What grabbed everyone else's attention?

On a slightly different note, why cant PCP update the whos who page? Most people have read the biographies which have been there for ages - what about a quarterly change, and not just the big cheeses - lets have a picture of Nick in his flashy shirt or some other badly dressed pesters!

No, sorry I thought he meant at Pestech. I didn't see any photographers at the PCN dinner, maybe because I was too p*ssed LOL.

There were 3 photographers. One was the official one and the other 2 were NPTA guys. If you can give a rough discription of him and where he took the photo I may be able to help you.

Nice to see you all had a good show. Dinner was fantastic as always, thanks to the PCN gang especially Emma for her hard work. There were a few less people than last year to both the show and the dinner. A number of faces I was hoping to see and didn't. I don't know if any one else agrees but we seemed to have a rush from about 9.30am to 2.30pm and then it was dead. See you all next year if not before.

Donks shall I mention your keyring problem??? LOL
Matt nice meeting up again, our esteemed editor earns too much to go to Pest Tech.
Sorry Steve didn't really look at the Mk11.
But then still a Fenn user, today after getting back from show set trap in attic with almond on trigger plate trap in tunnel. 2 hours later one female squirrel, caught quicker than that but still nice when done cleanly.
Nice bee suits etc on Sheriff stand, new products also on this stand.
Diane on Russell thanks for beer.
So who else went to show.

Come on then, lads. Ye must surely all know what I'm aching to hear about here: The Mk II RoGuard mouse beater!

Did anyone get a look???

Matt the Rat Posted - 03 Nov 2005 : 20:32:43
Sorex are bringing out a nozzle with fingertip control and a flexible hose which leads to a belt pouch containing an aerosol (their own of course), I have seen similar gizmos on the telly being used by US 'exterminators'. Looks interesting. The CO2 is dispensed from a trolley mounted bottle using a vacuum cleaner style hose. It freezes insects, and is pesticide free (it also did a good job of my right foot, thanks Jeff!). I also loved the free note book from BASF - cheers guys!

Oh Gordon Bennet, Chief! And there was me, happily drooling as I prepared to nominate one of the girls from KG. I intended to state the reason as being that I turn to dish water when I see her!

Then I saw she'd be Getting That message? With MY bloody name attached?! On Your Bike!

Good thread, Matt. Unfortunately, I couldn't be there so Im looking forward to hearing all about it.

What was the Sorex product?

As for the Who's Who - I have to be honest - I dont get many nominations from you readers! The concept for the section is based on outstanding contributions to the Pest Control Industry, hence the big cheeses. You'll notice I'm not on there ;) By All means, let's have some nominations, but for inclusion, the reason part of the nomination form would have to have something of value for the international audience of the site. PCP serves up over 50,000 pages a month to users all over the world.

Heres the address for nomination:

Okay, maybe nothing as extreme as Nick. What about 'Editor'? or some of the kittens that work for BPCA/NPTA? If its changed every quarter, thats forty people each year!
NickA Posted - 03 Nov 2005 : 19:21:39
Matt, they want to attract people to this site not turn them away.
I would like to say well done to every one involved in Pest Tech.
For me the best bit is meeting people and catching up on gossip, news.
PCN dinner was great, well done to all the sponsors and congratulations to Emma for organising a
good do.
Yep ULV/foggers coming down in price, most user friendly the one on Essexs stand.
Well done NPTA
