OK, wrong time of year I know but I have had this problem thrown at me by the supervisor who wondered what could be done about them. I was talking to my mentor over a few pints on Friday night and he said that they used to get sachets to sprinkle in the bins - this was pre black bin liner and wheelie bin. I wondered if it was a London thing because I have no recollection of it in the country. If anyone remembers this, do they know what was used ? The principle problem (surprise, surprise) is the composting bins where all the food waste goes. Thought needs to be given to the end product obviously so I wondered if anyone had any ideas about something that could be easilly and safely used
