I almost forgot to mention, Spring is here.
Male moles making straight runs searching for mrs mole.
Birds pairing up, singing and courtship dancing.
GS Woodpeckers drumming on the trees to attract a mate.
And the first queen wasp flying about outside this morning.
Oh and the hob ferret is exercising his anal glands (nice)
All we need now is some decent weather!
Anyone else noticed? |

and yes lots of curlew,redshank, sandpipers and turnstones up here as well as the odd bonxie. |

Been a while since I've seen and heard oystercatchers and curlews. Remind me not to call in at your local Dave, there again nowt so queer as folk I suppose. Whats your local brew by the way? |

The oystercatchers are moving inland again up here, a sure sign of spring around the corner.
The only queens I've seen this year are some girls with beards in the pub. |

Spot, only if you leave treating the termites to some other trade like you do with wood worm.

Can't say as I've noticed too many moles, mate ..... 
No, about a week ago now I did recognise a Gray Crow was announcing his forthcoming ownership of a local stand of trees. The Magpies too are starting to reappear now and get active.
All to do with the lenghening days, obviously. Because it's still damn cold and pretty bleak all round, over here, yet.
But, yeppers: Can't help but notice the signs. They're coming back.
Lock and load, gentlemen! Lock and load...
