I am dealing with a cluster fly problem at present which is "difficult" !
The building has external aluminium cladding in corrugated form. It appears the cluster flies are in this cladding. Aerosol application has chased many flies out. The flies are gaining access to the interior of the building, which is sensitive.

There is only a very small gap at the top and bottom of the cladding, difficult to treat due to there being so many separate little voids.

Has any one come across this problem before and if so how did you resolve it.

Prevention is the best medicine!

Hi Andy, many thanks for your reply. As it is the only response so far, this must be an unusual problem!

I am not aware of the Tri Jet Fogger, is it similar to the microgen?

The problem with trying to get insecticide into the outer wall cladding, is that the gaps are so small eg 2 or 3 mm and the cladding is so tall eg up to 5 metres. On top of that it is a large building!

I have had simular problems in a couple factories in Glos. I invested in a commander tri jet fogger (Ebay 38.00). What I did was from the outside on a Sunday used the fogger under the corrigates Pybutrin 33 as the AI. Worked a treat, flies exited the cladding to outside. We did spend quite alot of time sweeping them up after we had finished tho. Trijet is a bit cumbersome but I see KG are launching a fairly portable 240v or 110v fogger in January.
