Posted - 07 Mar 2006 : 12:00:19 just had a call out to a park which had 4 cats dumped ,, just goes to show how fikkle the british public are ... there is an out cry if you are called to trap feral cats .. however 1 news report about cats carrying the hn51 virus and already the dumping begins .. i have a feeling that if defra do there usual and tell evrybody as little as possible the epidemic may be more the dumping of pets than any air born virus ...........

Posted - 07 Mar 2006 : 13:51:41 I have a brother-in-law who lives in Cambridge, Ontario. He has 2 cats which he has to keep indoors, 27/7/365 - by law!
I don't know whether this covers the whole of Canada or is just a local bye law, but seems like a good idea to me.
Would stop my neighbour's dearest crapping all over my front lawn.
Could this be the way forward for the UK?
Or should we go for the full cat cull?
Just a thought... |
