Hi, I had a mouse problem in my (dirt) crawl space last winter. I got rid of them with bait stations and traps. I am trying to figure out where they came in (before this coming winter). My crawl space has these plastic pipes that you can see here: http://picasaweb.google.com/payork/CrawlSpace?authkey=12bjaUJOACQ. Can someone tell me about those? The space certainly looks large enough for mice to come in. Should I seal around all the pipes and what type of sealant should I use (will mice just chew through it?).
general rule of thumb is that if a pencil can fit in the hole then so can a mouse, if you want to stop them entering find every access point that a pencil can fit in, and seal it. if you can incorporate wire wool into the filling of the hole as well it will be even better.
