I put one on last week, but one of the poor souls in question had already registered on this site ages ago, and can't log on cos he don't remember his log-in details. (Next week I go back to school) |

Everyone on there comes here anyway. Can't have a forum if no one posts. For the record, nobody has been banned from VPM.

Hateful thought; Poor souls watching all this kicking off, and can't get amongst it!
I can see a few Threads reigniting, as people barge through the door, gagging to get their two bobs worth in! Great!

I wonder how often Christine and Richard come to have a look. The BPCA forum will disappear behind members only I expect? Then it will be like the NPMA's moribund. The BPCA Forum was good once, then the censors feelings took over and deleted posts because theyfelt it breached the rules. I have a look every day waiting for the RIP post.

The BPCA Forum was discussed at the last Service Committee meeting (I attended). The site was having problems a while ago and the BPCA attempted to tighten up in a number of ways. Two things then happened in short sucession - 1. A number of posts were removed for various reasons and 2. The new Registration system was 'implemented'. The registration system did not work properly and posting problems started occuring due to software upgrades which quite frankly p****d a lot of regulars off. I tried to reregister and could not and have not bothered since. The BPCA are still considering what to do. IMO there is no point having a Forum inside the Members only area - Not much would happen there! If the Forum remains as quiet as at the moment then you have to ask why have it? |

Lewis welcome to PCP,I'm sad to see how BPCA Forum has gone down hill, it was a usefool tool, but since registering for the new BPCA Forum my spam mail has gone up.(Coincidence) NPMA messageboard on one sub board over 18 months since last post. But then the NPTA forum boards(2) are hardly buzzing with activity,UPMA in OZ sizzling, VPM (Fett) quietly getting on with the job. But lets hope Phil & team keep this heading the right way with minimal editing.

Good to see this forum so active. A few postings I've read look a little close to the edge but generally follow up postings bring them back in line. The use of 'Other sellers are available' is bit like 'alledgedly' on on Have I Got News For You but still, so long as no one over does it then no harm done. |

Lewis, Phil & co trying to work out an acceptable way for the businesses to post so it doesn't appear to be soliciting for work, hang up from t'other forum and our rules set by forum users. But I value the contributions from suppliers and personally glad to see them take an interest.

It's great to see the suppliers take an interest although we're still sailing very close to the wind on that score. I need to be hearing some sensible suggestions from supplers if they want to advertise their products here... Posting that these products & services are available elswhere doesn't change commercial intent.

Hello Lewis, nice to see you here. How is it down there?
I hate to defend the BPCA forum, but many of the postings were getting , quite frankly....rude and beyond the pale. I stopped using that forum regularly after I put a couple of serious questions on, only to receive nonsensical "funny" answers. Thats what started the dragging down process in my view. Lets hope it doesn't happen here. Power to the posters!
Prevention is the best medicine!

Hello Adrian, hope all is well with you. How deep is the snow up there? (You are north of Watford aren't you? ) There does appear to be some BPCA bashing at present, although I am sure that the they can take a bit of roasting every now and then. I don't suppose anyone from TAS will post comments here in the short term, although there is no reason why they shouldn't. |

Lewis never fear at least one BPCA member of Staff posts. Andys replies says it all we discussed what is or not allowed.Doesn't mean cast in stone but the rules have not been imposed from above.

I did put one post on there once, got a stupid reply from a know it all, suffice to say i never posted there again. Now lads and lasses, why is it that we can't all get along like nice children? Every forum that i have joined has someone having a dig at someone else. Cmmmon life is too short, enjoy your time and lets all be freinds |
