Didn't want to contaminate Iain's thread, as off on a slightly different tangent.
One does wonder if the newer generation of gels etc has caused resistance, or if it is infact the bait layers who have caused the problems ( if they do exist)
Watching a thread on a US forum where a firm lost a bid to treat a restaurant chain because the winning bid was $18.00 per restaurant. How much time and bait can you afford to offer for $18.00? Without the latest rates, am guessing that is about ten pounds.

Nearest round figure, a tenner, aye Dust. And it simply can't be done. No matter what ye doing, against what pest. I wouldn't hang a frigging Fly Paper for a tenner!

But this (or That) is an issue long since ~ and probably repeatedly ~ beaten out on this and other fora; The craic about the lunatic who virtually pays others to let him do a job for them. It's simply not possible to keep that up.

And, I suspect, someone out there has, by now, tried about every possible permutation of 'Catch' attached to the basic principle. Yet I'm yet to hear of any such scheme continuing.

Anyway, yeppers; Again, regardless of what treatment one is supposedly employing against what ever pest, by that regimen? It'll all collapse and a very sparsely and thus badly job will be left barely started. Give the targets a taste and then vanish? As ye imply; Surely the most sure fire route to resistance?

I like to rotate the producT I use, throwing in somewthing with a differnt AI no later than every two years, often 12 monthly. With the gels around, that is not that easy to do, given all considerations.
