I had a job to deal with fleas in the communal area of a three story block of flats. I spoke to a couple of the residents to ascertain where all the pet owners were before I sprayed so that I could inform them not to allow their pets to walk over the sprayed surfaces until they had dried. I made sure all the H&S; and RAs were covered and went back to the van to get the sprayer. on my way back I saw the little oik from flat 12 outside on his hands and knees pulling some well trodden chewing gum off the ground and putting it in his mouth . It put health and safety into perspective and I realised that Ficam W was the least of their problems. How the other half live heh?
Spot, nothing to do with H&S; but when I was a littun I wasn't allowed chewing gum so my sister and I used to occasionally scrape it off the pavement !! Disgusting in retrospect but does that make us both "oiks" ?
I am interested in why just the pet owners were advised? "KEEP ALL UNPROTECTED PERSONS AND ANIMALS AWAY FROM TREATED AREAS UNTILL SURFACES ARE DRY" mean just that.
