It's been years since I looked at this forum. Sad really; this used to be a popular place with pest controllers and there was a good craic.
Whatever happened to all those characters that used to frequent this place? AndyB, Bunny, Adrian, Dusty, NickA, The Spotlight Kid, Nigel and all the rest?
Good to see old Fennman still posting occasionally; I hope Ireland is treating you well. |

Nobby; Last I ever knew, mate? AndyB has his own forum. I'd guess an awful lot of the old faces are there with him now. I wouldn't know ~ I stopped bothering to go there.
Frankly? I'm sick and tired of watching how the pest control industry can't help itself but present itself in front of the public, on fora. It's beyond embarrassing, in all honesty. Like a room full of Harry Enfield's.
Me? I'm retired, mate. Gave all my gear to Donks, as it happens. He popped over here. Then, he sent a mate with a bloody great trailer and we cleared my stores into it. Whoosh! Whole lot out of my hair in a day. Now, I keep canaries, as befits a retiree
Ireland? Bliss, mate!
Oh, and I post, in here, just to get them at it

Similar to me then Fenny........
I really can't be arsed with all the stupidity in the industry these days. Bit's of paper for this, rules and regs for that, and a bunch of peacocks strutting around with their certificates like they are the new messiahs....
The really sad thing is that they've all got so good at paperwork they've forgotten how to actually kill things.
Glad to hear that Ireland is still suiting you Fennman, I occasionally look at your blog. |

I'm more of a real ale man myself Fenny. Although I'm getting more into the wine. The chances of me getting to Ireland are next to zero, but if ever I do, I'll be sure to drop by and admire ye empire matey.
When I think back to when I first 'met' you online; (BPCA forum circa 2001) I often wonder if anyone will ever actually publish a book about our old friend Alan Fenn, or even, dare I mention it, Mssrs Young of Misterton. Will OTC ever do it? I hope so....
In the meantime, keep smiling when that orange dog does something that most folks would consider 'strange', and enjoy your life in the Emerald Isle. |

Nobs; OTC, I'm sure, won't mind me telling ye that he's researched the Fenn company to the nth degree. He's been availed of extremely inside information. He's also scoured the historical records. In fact, fair to say he's a walking authority on them.
Only; His personal life got derailed, last year. Rug was pulled. Poor bugger has more on his mind, right now, than putting his notes into a book.
But, he Has those notes. He has his youth. And he's a tough bugger. I'm sure he'll bounce back. Then, we might hope for a book to to stand as a memorial to Fenn, and a great deal more.
Youngs? A book in itself, surely? Sadly; I personally feel there's be a blocker there. Take my word on that .....
Real ale? Ye didn't think I was referring to that ice cold, black piss the tourists come for, do ye?! I make my Own stout, mate! Have done for bloody years now. It's well enough recieved, in certain quarters
And Orange Dog? Orange Dogs body got tired, couple of years ago, mate. So, she slipped out of that one and came back to me as this mad f**king thing curled up beside me
