I don't recognise the name, so it is possible that it is not Approved for use in the UK.
Anyone else heard of it?

But doesn't hurt to know what is out there, afterall few years ago dealing with our termites, we had to use a product not approved. Been a sorry state if we hadn't known what to use. Pest Control is global as is the Internet.

Nick,
I agree that it is useful to know what's out there, but all I wanted to know was whether this was a new product available to us here in the UK that I didn't know about.
You didn't answer my question, but from the tone I assume that it isn't....
So Squid...., it doesn't look like we'll be able to answer your question. |

I'm reasonably familiar with DuPont's indoxacarb, and everything I have seen about it so far is very promising.
They claim that both their cockroach gel and their fire ant product out perform the competition.
Not sure whether they have plans to bring it to Europe. |

Been in Oz since 2004. Pesties here dont single it out as something out of the special box. I still like Whitmires Avert in the metered dose pressure pac. In so far as roches in commercial accounts are concerned, I have a difficult 'greasy spoon' problem that is not solving al that easily and am about to revert to an old cure, and try using "Killmaster" paint on, with the all new orange fragrance.

Just for interest, Avert is about to be launched in the UK in a few week's time - at Pestex, to be exact.
It is based on an active not used here before, abamectin, and will be available as a gel bait and as a flowable dust, for use against cockroaches.
Squid.... have you used these products, and if so, what are your thoughts? |

I havent used Avert yet http://www.wmmg.com/avert/shell.asp?id=0 I have seen it on the market. My company I work for we use the following Products currently for roach control at residential and commercial work. We starting to use Advion since the 1st of the year but we also use Maxforce FC Select Gel baits, Drione dust for Crack/Crevice/Void Treatments, CB-123 Extra for Flushing & Contact treatments, TalstarOne for Crack/Crevice, which we are going to be replacing soon with Cy-Kick CS And for Insect Growth Regulation We use Gentrol IGR Concentrate and Gentrol Point Source The only other gel bait Ive used for roaches was PRE-EMPT and I didn't see all that well results from it
