I love a nice Mexican Standoff! 
What always makes me smile, Nick, is the way the twist of British Law (Simply down, I've always contended, to some Clerk's personal interpretation of a word of more archaic English language) which, at a fell swoop, took away our right to incorperate a " Spring " into a Bird Trapping contrivance has now seemingly vanished with the morning mists, and the advent of the Larsen Traps popularity!
I'll be mentioning that one and citing a 'marvellous' example of it all in my book about the 'Approved' Traps  |

Hasn't happened yet in the UK but look what happens with a badly drawn up law in the States.
