As market leader of products to control Pharaoh�s ants and ghost ants, Luxan UK has just launched a new pack size for its popular Biopren BM product to meet customer needs.
�We have been listening to what our customers wanted and decided to launch a 2.5gms pack,� explains Helen Ainsworth, sales and marketing co-ordinator, Luxan (UK) Ltd. �Where ant infestations were high PCOs were finding that the 2gms bait stations were emptying quickly and needed replenishing therefore a 2.5gms pack seemed to fit the bill. And as an added bonus we are offering this pack size at the same price as the 2gms pack so PCOs will be getting more for their money.�
Luxan Biopren BM, which contains 0.45%w/w methoprene, uses a proven protein based matrix which has been reformulated with a smaller granule size so that it is acceptable to both Pharaoh�s and ghost ants. The new pack is sealed and has graduations on the front so that the PCO can easily gauge the speed of bait uptake.
�We recommend using Biopren BM in conjunction with Luxan Biopren Monitor,� advises Helen Ainsworth, �By placing the monitor bait station in areas where infestations have been reported, the PCO can access the extent of activity and then the position active bait stations accordingly to enable a more cost-effective control programme to be set up. Once treatment has been completed the monitoring station can help check that there is no longer any ant activity and also help in assessing any future re-infestation.�
Luxan Biopren BM is available in convenient 24 x 2.5gms cartons, from all Luxan appointed distributors from January 2006 onwards.
