Oliver is a well-respected figure in the pest control industry. During his career he

has worked for large national companies, medium sized operations and as a sole

trader and has held a variety of positions that has seen him involved in virtually all aspects of the industry. He is therefore ideally suited to be able to empathize with all sections of the BPCA membership from small pest control servicing companies and consultants to manufacturers and national operations.

Peter Priestley, BPCA President said, �My fellow board members and myself are

confident that Oliver will bring much to the Association. He has a good knowledge of our business, having run his own pest control company. He also has the ability and determination to drive the Association forward. I hope the industry will welcome him to his new position and I know that he will do his best to be in touch with all members�.

On his appointment, Oliver said, �I am delighted to accept this position and feel very privileged that the Executive Board for the BPCA feel that I am the right person for the future. We all have exciting times ahead, slightly unsettled in many areas, but the next few years I personally feel are very important not only for the Association but the industry. Many members of the Association are demanding a greater professional service delivery and we are fully in support; if this industry is to grow then I intend to ensure the BPCA is at the front leading the way, being directed by the members. The Association will also bring end users of pest control into the arena; they need to understand where members are improving their service delivery, assist and adopt the improvements being made and provide the necessary revenue to support the

developments in pest management for the future.

There are a number of projects underway all designed to assist members, control

costs and support all levels of company structures, from the sole traders all the way through to the larger national companies. We are all members of the Association, with equal decision making abilities for the future and I urge for more members to become involved with the next step of this wonderful industry.

The Association is made up by its members, there is no them and us, and by working together the power we will all hold will significantly increase.

Thanks to the work of others, the Association is in a wonderful position. I look forward to the challenges ahead and further increasing the level and importance of pest control within the hierarchy of industry.�
