Richard was presented with an engraved silver salver from BPCA members for his years of dedicated service. Richard gave thanks to members and briefly reflected on his time as BPCA Director.  Oliver Madge gave a brief presentation on his intentions as the new BPCA CEO and drew on �professionalism� as key to moving the industry forward and discussed how advancements in areas such as on-line learning and CPD will be critical to this success.

At the AGM Peter Priestley (Abatis Environmental Services) was once again re-elected as President, Nigel Binns (Rentokil Initial) appointed Deputy President and Rob Fryatt (Xenex Associates) appointed Honorary Treasurer. Four nominations were made to the executive board of which three places were available. The three candidates who received the most votes and were therefore accepted onto the board were Ross Graham (Graham Environmental Services), Gareth Knox (Pest Solutions) and Iain Urquhart (Advanced Pest Management).

Each year the standing committees of the BPCA can nominate a candidate to Chair each committee. In each case unopposed nominations were made by each Committee and were automatically carried to the AGM. John Trevenna (Igrox) was elected as Chair of the Fumigation Committee; Tony Hudson (Bayer Environmental Science) elected Chair of the Manufacturers and Distributors Committee; Martina Flynn (Sorex Ltd) elected Chair of the Public Relations Committee and Brian Duffin (Rokill) elected Chair of the Servicing Committee.

In his new position as CEPA (Confederation of European Pest Control Associations) Director General Rob Fryatt gave a brief presentation on the Amsterdam project, the European campaign to raise awareness of the importance of pest management in public health and housing.
