28/03/2002: Deadline for submitting notifications / identification of active substances to the European Chemicals Bureau Notifications / Identification will then be checked for completeness by the ECB. If incomplete, notifier / identifier will be sent a letter of non compliance, giving them 30 days to complete / correct the notification / identification.
15/05/2002: checking of last notifications / identifications and sending out of last letters of non-compliance.
01/06/2002: Start of the final 30 day period to complete or correct notification / identification.
01/07/2002: final 30 day period expires.
08/08/2002: List of active substances which have been successfully identified / notified sent to Member States.
01/12/2002: Deadline for Member States to: identify additional existing active substances; and indicate their interest to notify them.
31/12/2002: The Comission (ECB) has to set up: an exhaustive list of existing active substances placed on the market for use in Biocidal products(for which there is at least one identification or notification); and an exhaustive list of existing active substances to be reviewed during the second phase of the review programme.
Early 2003: Establish priority lists for review and rapporteur Member States.
15/05/2003: Publication of the second Review Regulation. This will give the priorities for review and the deadlines by which products containing active substances which have not been notified / identified will have to be removed from the market (possibly Autumn / Winter 2003 or early 2004) and deadline for those that have just been identified have to be removed from the market (likely to be 2006).
27 March 2004: Submission of dossiers on rodenticide and wood preservative active substances to rapporteur Member States for evaluation.
