Legal closing has now been achieved on the deal which sees Bayer AG purchasing Aventis CropScience SA.� Bayer CropScience is the name of the new organisation which combines the product portfolios of both companies, and their respective pipeline projects.
The organisation will operate in the UK from Hauxton, Norwich, Widnes and Newbald.
The deal, worth �7.25bn is expected to strengthen the position of both companies in Crop Science and Public Health markets.
Further announcements pertaining to key staff are expected later in the year.
