Liverpool based distributor, Industrial Pesticides were featured in tonight's Rogue Traders programme on BBC1, concerning the supply of pest control products to non professional users.

The BBC withheld the name of the products involved for reasons of public safety.

IP issued the following statement in response to the programme:

"You may be aware of the feature on the above programme when a supply of material was made to a member of the Rogue Traders team by our company.

Those of you who have dealt with us over the last 22 years will know that we pride ourselves on the standards we uphold within the industry for the supply of professional pest management materials to Pest Controllers in the Environmental Health, Private Pest Control and Food Industries. Our whole approach to the business has been focused upon professionalism and throughout the years we have become well respected within our industry as a competent supplier of products and technical advice. We are supporting members of the National Pest Technicians Association, the British Pest Control Association and have representation on the manufacturers and distributors committee of the BPCA. Throughout our existence we have fervently supported the industry's attempts to improve the quality of professionalism.

However, we cannot avoid the fact that we did make errors in this instance. Since being brought to our attention we have thoroughly investigated the circumstances leading to this situation and have put into place strict measures to ensure that there can be no repetition."
