The Professional Pest Technician Registration Scheme has started to attract interest from some of the major users of pest control services, according to DATAS. The Scheme's Advisory Committee agreed that the large numbers of pest control technicians who have been registered would benefit if potential customers were more aware of the scheme. DATAS, who administer PPTRS, have contacted many users of pest control services informing about the Scheme.
Jim Baker-Smith, of DATAS said 'The amount of interest shown in the Scheme by pest control service users has been gratifying. In the not to distant future, PPTRS registration may have a significant influence on customers' choice of pest control service provider'.
It is hoped that the users of pest control services will be represented on the Scheme's Advisory Committee, thus ensuring that PPTRS continues to meet the needs of customers.
