A new rodenticide based on whole rather than cut wheat grain has been launched by Sorex. Sold as Neokil Whole Wheat, the rodenticide adds to the wide range of formulations for rat and mice control solutions produced by the company.
A rodents preference for cut or whole wheat will depend on the natural food source available, explains Sorex rodenticide specialist Martina Flynn. If rats are familiar with feeding on whole wheat grains, then they are likely to find this new formulation more palatable than the cut wheat version, she says.
Containing the same proven and highly effective active ingredient difenacoum as the cut wheat formulation, Neokil Whole Wheat is a second generation anticoagulant rodenticide for use indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for controlling both rats and mice and is available as a ready-to-use loose bait.
By selecting the correct rodenticide for the situation, control will be achieved more quickly and efficiently. The whole wheat rodenticide provides farmers with greater choice, says Ms Flynn.
Neokil Whole Wheat is available in smaller, more manageable 8kg packs and also larger 25kg sacks
