Failing that; How about ye do what Joe Public does? " DIY ". Catch up some live ones and feed them the stuff.
Of course, the big companies have probably got that one covered - 'we're not allowed to. Only They can'. But that would only pan out if ye Told them!

Andy you could do it yourself, but do you have all the lab facilities and letters. Joe Public might think you feed it lead.(.177 or .22)

| If the rats are taking bait with no noticable affect, it should be safe to presume immunity. I would try a different AI and see what effect it has. |

Matt, consider putting more bait down first, might be more there than realised. Then change A.I.

Both types af outside AI are being used at the neighbouring farm seems to be " Feeding em not killing em" I am being very cagey about the job I have been asked to do. I could catch a cold here, the numbers at the farm I am looking are not that high but the farmer say's thay have moved in resently. If they have migrated from the farm with the big problem I could be there every day checking traps, This may end up as 1.00 an hour including travel expences if im not very careful. I will have ago at most problems. This is a 50 mile round trip. No holes for the Kuwaity ferret so it would be all work and no fun.

I'd Pay a quid an hour, gladly, just to get to check a load of promising rat traps!

In your opinion what is the best rat trap? The old Fenn mark 4 is my favourite

Found the little Kness Snap E, in a KG Snappa Box to be the bizz on House Mice. Don't even Ask me about my results on Wood's though!
I'd like to try out some of the Big ones. I'd put them in AF Boxes too.
What I'm seriously considering though, for rat killers, are 110's. (LOL! I swear to you people; Phil Lloyd has had No influence of this consideration! In fact, his banging on about them ~ and poking the Fenn! ~ has only ever served to put me off considering them! So There, Phil! )
Seriously though; I'm a Traditionalist and never took to the Conibear type traps. But, as a Trapper, I had to give them a go and they Are bitches! More Rat or User friendly than a Fenn. More adaptable than a Snapper. I've never done a 1 - 10 Listing Comparison, but I reckon they should have the Fenn licked - as Phil's so fond of saying they do.
(Look out, Suppliers; Looks like I'm psyching myself up for some Field Trial material here. Who makes yours and what are their springs like??? )
For cages? SO Little choice!!! " Monarch " can't be beat, when there's plenty of Grays about. For a sure thing on the adults? I've used the " Whole Family " type with success, but hate it. Stupid Bait Hook and Ridiculous little treadle? No. Don't like 'em.
Ones from KG (made by Bodiss; Probably our oldest surviving Trap Makers!) are great. But the springs are their weak point ~ or will become so, long before the trap rots. And, of course, they're one off's. Catch one. That's ye lot.
Double Entry Rat's? No longer exist, as far as my world wide searches have thus far shown I won't use a 1" 'Mink' because I don't want educated youngsters do deal with.
Of course, there's hundreds more out there. But stuff like the Fuller and Legg traps aren't available over the counter and so there's too little point in getting excited over them now. I can get excited over them, because I have them streaming through my door! But that's another story!

If you suspect bait resistance, I cant understand why you dont change the AI in at least a significant amount of stations to see if that has asome impact
Don't feed them, get Rid of them |

Wouldn't touch that Chinese sh!t, on principal, Nigel, thanks. And that apart from the fact that it really is some rank Sh!t. Ever seen one of their 'Fenn Traps', mate? Or what they do to live creatures, come to that? (Chinese, that is. Not their key ring traps)
If ye can find a copy of said Act though, I'd love a look, thanks. Any certain knowledge I can glean there is likely more than I have right now. I'm rather functioning on fora feed back and rough guesstimates as it is.
Great to see ye again too, by the way
