Posted - 04 Mar 2006 : 16:26:32 I have been asked to help at a land fill site blighted with seagulls, they have ultrasonics etc. But they have little effect on them, I was looking at some visual stuff. See the links, any other suggestions.

Posted - 04 Mar 2006 : 22:18:33 You are right Nick we don't have the Monopoly but it's bloody close. EcoPro I refer to is a company based in Ipswich but cover the best part of the UK

Posted - 04 Mar 2006 : 21:42:41 Is that EcoPro division of Ecolab or mob from suffolk? Rumour also has it a wealth of information here,UKPCO hasn't got a monopoly.
Of course could have mentioned if using firearms the cracker shells used at airports some landfill sites, human scarecrows.
Being consistant and persistant is the way on seagulls, and yes doing it in the rain when hawks don't fly.

Posted - 04 Mar 2006 : 16:37:38 Ultrasonics no good, bird hearing basically same as ours. Distress calls may work, have used hawks, starting pistol, gas guns when looking after landfill. Best results one sunday when shooting field next to landfill, shot a few gulls easiest week I had on landfill.
