Iain I am always out, perhaps I need to get in a little! Thing is I used to worry about what others thought but now, well you know....... made me laugh at Pest ex when you said "Oh so you're Dave Archer" and never said any more than that, and I thought, "ey up my reputations gone ahead of me again! |

Come on guys - work 'OA2KI' into a song title.
The closest I got was the one from the Village People, but it didn't quite scan properly....
...and then there's 'K-Othrine', 'imadacloprid' and 's-methopene' to work in somehow...

Steve, I'm surprised that following your brief sojourn in Hull you didn't mention the famous Hull band " The Rats ". Quite a group in the 1960s
A couple of guys from the band - Mick Ronson ( a particular hero of mine ) and Mick " Woody " Woodmansey went on to greater fame with Dave Bowie and The Spiders from Mars.
Adrian - a Rat fan !!

Good god! I never heard that snippet before, Ade! 'Be damned.
" The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars " was the first album my sister ever bought, from her first weeks wages. She's two years older than me. To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I became a far bigger Bowie fan than she ever was. (Of course, those were the days when Roxy Music were beginning their ascendency too. I was well and truly there. Hence my appreciation of the Bryan Ferry one, above)
Ronno? Top man. Poor sod. Strangest thing; To this day I could swear, with a gun to my head, that I woke up to the radio news that he'd died in a 'Bed Fire'. But I've since seen on line reports of his cancer, along with photo's of him in hospital. So who the hell Did do a smoker? Most strange.
Thinking of my sister brings back fond memories of my former Brother In Law. Chrissie was a BIG fan of Motown. He liked all that stuff.
Remember The Supremes? .......... Wait for it! ..........
Up The Ladder to the Roof Space!
Yeah. I'll get me coat .......

"Come on guys - work 'OA2KI' into a song title." I am trying Iain, so far I have only come with "You put you left leg left leg out do the OA2KI and turn about." I will keep working on it.

Ye reckon, Spots? Frankly, Country Life ~ their Third ~ was the last one I bought. " Love Is the Drug " was the last single I liked much. " Both Ends Burning " was ok, but I'd forgotten the albums by then.
For me, " For Your Pleasure " will always be the one
