Control

Members of Lepidoptera follow a complete metamorphosis Life - Cycle with distinct egg, larval, pupal and adults stages.

Most pest moths are associated with stored commodities, such as bulk foodstuffs and textiles. Cross infestation can be a problem with transport of such commodities.

Moths are a widely varying group of insects. Control measures must take this into account, and allow for differences in biology, habitat and behaviour.  Control of moths will therefore be discussed separately for each pest species.
