I heard today that it looks as though it was suicide.

" Used by Farmers and Gardeners ".

" a farmer who uses the same toxin on his land, said it was freely available in farming dealers ".

Sadly I think we all know that this goes on all the time. Some of these ag stores will sell the stuff to anyone. Maybe it will take an incident like this to tighten things up, there again the pros will probably lose it too.

Sounds like a tradgedy eitherway, one thing for certain though, if it was suicide what an awfull way to go.

Not a pleasant way to take ones life.
Canisters are marked with batch numbers so that they can at least be traced back to an outlet, if each individual can was issued with a unique registration number either at the point of manufacture or even at point of sale and entered in the poisons register against the purchases details, then an individual who bought the product could be traced and held accountable for their actions.

The PEST website has more information on the " Talunex " situation and the alleged link to a death in the North East being entirely unrelated.

Thanks to Mr Batty for the above information.
